Franco

Franco

When Sinaloa introduced its new Animal Welfare law, Franco became one of the first three dogs to be apprehended by Civil Protection. Only problem was, the law was in place, but there is no public shelter system to house the dogs. So they came to us.

Franco had been severely neglected in his home and was very ill. His paws and skin were swollen and raw to the point that he could no longer stand up. After a few days of intensive veterinary care, Franco was moved to a foster home.

Franco proved to be a very loving boy, so grateful to be in a clean and healthy environment. He loved his new bed and pretty soon could take short walks if the sidewalks weren’t too hot. He learned to chase a ball and eventually learned to love the beach.

Franco made a full recovery and was adopted by a wonderful family in Canada.
