Mazatlan Animal Rescue

together with the Hope Animal Sanctuary, is saving the lives of Mazatlan’s most vulnerable animals.
We are a working partnership of Mexican, Canadian and American volunteers.
Mazatlan Animal Rescue works in the community to improve the lives of animals.

Here's what we do:

Rescue

rusty-1

We rescue animals (mostly dogs) in street situations most weeks. We focus on those that are injured or ill and urgently in need of veterinary attention. Unfortunately, the need is far greater than the number of animals we can take into care.

Rehabilitate

rusty-2.1

Through the Hope Animal Sanctuary and local veterinary clinics, animals get extensive veterinary care and recovery time until they are back to full health. Our sanctuary volunteers provide all dogs with the basics of socialization and leash training.

Rehome

rusty-3

We adopt animals to families in Mazatlan year-round. In winter, we also transport dogs to rescue partners and adoptive families in Western Canada.

A surprising number of Mazatlan’s visitors want to take home a four-legged family member. We’re proud to have helped hundreds of rescued animals start new lives in locations across North America.

FUNDRAISING

We fundraise year-round in order to keep the Hope Animal Sanctuary fully funded, to pay for veterinary services and to spay/neuter as many animals as possible.

Mazatlan Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.A. for income, gift, and estate taxes. Our EIN Number is 82-4855423.
